Can I keep positions open overnight and over the weekend?

No, all positions must be closed by the end of U.S. market hours:

Close positions by: 15:55 U.S. Central Time Resume trading at: 17:00 U.S. Central Time

Updated Rule (Effective October 7, 2025):

You must manually close all open positions before 15:55 U.S. Central Time.

Pending orders (limit orders and stop orders) left open will no longer trigger an overnight rule violation.

Warning: Open positions at the market close are strictly prohibited. Having open positions at 15:55 U.S. Central Time will result in automatic liquidation of positions and closure of the account.

Important note about pending orders: While pending orders will not cause an overnight rule violation, if a pending order is filled overnight and triggers a Max Drawdown or Daily Drawdown breach, your account will still fail with no exceptions or reimbursements. We strongly recommend closing all pending orders before market close to avoid this risk.
